Hmmmm.... I can't tell if it's ZiVA II. It may well be CUBE -- remember that LG's new technology director is high on CUBE technology.

It remains to be seen how the DVD digital servo is partitioned. I know for a fact that Sony has been selling CD-ROM controllers that have largely digital servo circuitry. Others may as well. It does look like the LG player uses one chip for "data" -- maybe it integrates the ZiVA functions with the data recovery, error correction, deinterleaving, data stream demux and other digital data functions... That would be great if it is CUBE! Now if they can integrate the servo and digital/DVD circuitry on one chip......
