Wharfie, I already addressed Charlie Kirk's algorithm-driven "sympathy over empathy" quote about a month and a half ago:

Tenchu's Thoughts: Empathy vs. Sympathy - Why Charlie Kirk had it backwards

This is what Elon Musk was referring to as well. He isn't necessarily against empathy per se, but rather against the governmental weaponizing of empathy.

However, I argue that, even in this context, Musk is still wrong. "Weaponized empathy" is something to address, for sure, but it is NOT a "fundamental weakness of Western civilization." Far from it.

After all, it's human nature to be empathetic towards others. That's what makes us, you know, human.

As for Musk, it seems like he doesn't like it when he's forced to be altruistic. Surprise surprise. Most filthy rich people don't.

However, he thinks he can push some Randian vision of selfishness as a virtue, because of course he fancies himself as a John Galt. So much so that he thinks he can save humanity by literally spreading his Muskperger genes all over the world.

Icarus is flying too close to the sun.

Groyperism's Spread Among Generation Z Conservative Apparatchiks Is Real

What I Saw And Heard In Washington (Rod Dreher, Substack)
The claim that I first floated in this space last week, quoting a DC insider who said that in his estimation, “between 30 and 40 percent” of the Zoomers who work in official Republican Washington are fans of Nick Fuentes — that’s true. Was confirmed multiple times by Zoomers who live in that world.
I still maintain that Charlie Kirk was killed by a Groyper. Older MAGA cultists like Bill and Thronefish don't like to hear that. In fact, one of them reacts viscerally when I even bring up that term.

Now we're seeing the normalization of Kidler and the Groypers. Even The Heritage Foundation couldn't immediately cancel Tucker Carlson right after he hosted Kidler.

THIS is the future of the Republican Party, but of course, the cultists are in full denial.
