Thanks for the suggestion but nothing is safer than short term Treasuries. Next to that is money market funds. Interest paid above that reflects risk.

Interest paid above that reflects other investor's perception of risk.

Investors determine yield, not actual risk. If others think your investment pick is super risky, and you know it's not, it's going to have a high yield because money flows determine prices, and even if one thinks it is almost risk free, one doesn't determine the price, one takes what the market gives.

NGL is going to pay it's preferred dividend. Of course things may change, that's the nature of life and business, but if someone knows something else that pays 11.4% with very high certainty, I'd like to read about it because I'll probably buy it. That's me.
