EDLF,

As far as the buyback goes, you have been kicking that dead horse for a long time now. Give Joe some credit. He has been at the helm long enough to know what he is doing. Did you ever stop to think he may have a number of good reasons why he does not want the stock price under a dollar. It's easy for us armchair CEO's to second guess him, but keep in mind we are not privy to everything that goes on in his office. IMO Joe would never pay 100% cash for an acquisition. By using stock it helps prevent him from buying a pig in a poke. When he finishes his negotiations with our two sellers up north he may be able to ease off on the buyback as the buyers will then return. Did you ever stop to think that our northern friends probably know without reading it on SI when good news is coming out?? IMO you are absolutely correct about the seller continuing to sell even if the price would plunge. That would cause panic among most of the stock holders which in turn would bring an enormous amount of additional shares to market forcing Joe to spend a lot more money than he had planned. It is much more difficult to do M&A's with 50 cent stock than a $2.00 stock. Ernie, this is all moot anyway. Joe has made his decision and I would bet he will stick with it.

Best Regards

ernie,

I talked to Joe about the scenario of having the news show up on SI early. Your explanation of giving the seller or sellers time to prepare themselves was just what we discussed. It is my belief that we will no longer see news here before the tape or hints of news before it happens. This is not a guarantee by any strech but I am sure that he understood where I was coming from. Buy on the rumor and sell on the news seems to follow DCI very closely. To eliminate that would help the stock to rise on the news itself so people could not be prepared for it.

I dont feel that the buyback is a folly. Joe Murphy has surrounded himself with experts in every discipline of business and uses their knowledge to its fullest extent, Morrow, Grant Thornton, Whitman Breed and AG Edwards. I am sure that there were debates over the best use of the money. Joe Murphy is a man of his word and when he publicly said that he would do a buyback he meant it. The rest of the story is that the buyback needs to be done in the best interest of the shareholder and DCI. That does not mean to drive the price of the stock up using all your money at once. It does mean to strategically pick up shares at certain times letting the professionals handle it as they see fit. When AGE and Joe Murphy feel the time is right we could see more happen, but again, as they see fit. I like the pace that DCI is moving at but like the rest of the shareholders wish the price was higher. I believe that time will reveal all including a higher share price.

LONG AND STRONG!!! GO DCTC!!!!

Bruce
