John, don't worry about identifying banners placed by DCLK. Without commenting on valuation, potential of Internet advertising or any other fundamental reality (I have no position in DCLK), the big reasons for ignoring these NETZ nuts are the following: 1) As I understand it, they "went public" via a public shell six months or so back and have filed no financial reports since. If they have financial statements at all, they are unaudited and I can find neither press releases that give any financial information nor SEC filings of any kind. If anyone can produce this info, post a URL here to prove that NETZ is for real. 2) They have put out a stream of press releases this week in an apparent effort to benefit from the attention on DCLK. First they issue one denying supposed rumors about DCLK buying them. Then they announce '97 full year revenue figures (what about earnings?) with a headline comparing the number to DCLK. Finally - probably not finished though - they issue one claiming to know of no reason for the heavy volume "other than the DoubleClick IPO". 3) There seems to be a small army of people running around SI, popping up on nearly any thread remotely active or Internet related, and touting NETZ as a probable "100 bagger". If, in the face of all this, anyone still wants to try their luck with NETZ, all I can say is please push it up enough so it becomes shortable. Of course, all of the above is simply my own opinion and I'll admit that the total lack of information available from usual sources like press services and the SEC databases makes it as impossible for me to disprove as it is for the touters to prove their claims.
