What is being posted are "loss leader" prices on soon to expire meats. What sometimes happens is soon to expire ground beef is mixed with some fresh and repackaged. SAMs Club was caught doing this. Some of the meat was rancid and customers complained. It's short term and does not reflect what happens 365 days a year. "IF" one has a deep freezer and the money it's worth a shot. Hopefully one does not get rancid meat mixed with fresh. Normal everyday prices for 85% lean ground beef run from $4.59 to $5.99.
