You say the million+ volume the other day is most likely closing
of hedged positions. What if some big shorts called up the Cayman's
and promised to buy 400 k if they would convert at a certain day?

Where do you dig up this stuff! Right to the point. If you want to fill the widening gap between traffic and revenue increasing bandwidth per user is not the way to go. It ain't going to happen. Particularly in light of the point regarding applications. I just do not see pornography as a sufficient incentive to pass earnings down the line from content providers to isps. Peering eh? Does not sound like meant for riff-raff such as ourselves :) Any increase in bandwidth per customer will be done on a local basis and with stiff hikes in price, which means that regular modems will continue to dominate for a long time to come. First order of business will be service and reliability. Great stuff Marshall, thanks.

An important point regarding isps is that using BT for the general consumer is not rate structure favorable by the same arguments advanced in those articles. Again if isps become interested in BT it will be so as to provide value added for those customers who can afford to pay more. That point needs to be clarified in regard to isps.
