******off topic******* Duane, saw your WDM interest and specifically CIEN. Gilder removed CIEN from his 'ascendent technologies' list early in February based on his feeling that LU had better stuff cooking. Later in February of course, CIEN announced the deferral of some WCOM installations and warned: next stop 38. Yesterday, Corning came out with some new optical fiber that is supposed to be the cat's pj's and slips in to the new LU thinga-mabob that Gilder's all pumped about. Where in your opinion does this leave CIEN--terrific contrarian purchase or are there better plays in WDM land? Sorry to post on the LSI thread but the CIEN thread is a mite touchy just now.
