Yeah I know Surething is a Canadian, but since he's so interested in our going-on down here, I don't mind pretending that he has some kind of legitimate interest. The US and Canada are pretty close allies, and I've always liked the Canadian friends I have who live in the "Great White North". Sharing the longest land border between the two countries makes it that much better that we get along. That all said, I have to admit that, like many US citizens, my attention is absorbed with the all the goings-on in the US, so other countries' politics goes largely unnoticed by me. Therefore I wasn't aware of Pierre Trudeau's wife's extramarital activity. Shame though, if true. I have probably a different view than many of Hillary in that regard. I actually do admire the way she stands by her man Bill, in the face of almost overwhelming ridicule from virtually all sides. I'm sure many would say I'm naive or stupid or some such, but the marriage vows generally include such language as "for richer, for poorer, for better or worse, in sickness and in health". Those vows are meant to be remembered specifically when one's strength may be strained the most. Infidelity is a touchy issue, but if Hillary chooses to remain comitted to her marriage in spite of whatever faults Clinton may have, for whatever reason, then I have to respect that. Although I hope that in private, she slapped that man silly, maybe not physically but verbally anyway. Again, things may not be as they appear, and therefore maybe I have it wrong, but going by what we can see on the surface at least, I'm not one of those who has criticized Hillary for some of the reasons people have criticized her.
