Pocotrader, I would still consider a Tesla, but I'll stick with my Prius Prime for now. A battery that only gets 26 miles of range is good enough to reduce my overall fuel consumption by 75%, which is not bad at all.

I'm also hesitant to drive around what is essentially a two ton iPad on wheels. Knowing how piss-poor Musk's attention to quality is, I'm still not convinced that the car won't "brick" on me like a handheld device could.

Lastly, you're right, Musk forever tarnished the Tesla brand name. If he's willing to lie about both big things like DOGE's "success" as well as the little things like his "g4m3r g0d" fraud, I can't imagine what would happen if I buy a Tesla only to have it break down on me.
