It all depends on whether the models can be monetized, regardless of who owns the model and if the models need the datacenter GPUs.

Because then the hyperscalers can just serve whoever has the best model.

I think that is exactly the problem that the market is worried about.

I saw something yesterday that I think is of significant. The Nvidia Nemotron 3 Nano. A model with new constructs that fits on high end Nvidia graphics cards for local use. Once again, Nvidia is competing with their customers.

Check it out. What do great, free, open source models end up doing to the likes of OpenAI?

Meta is reportedly diffusing their new models based on Alibaba Qwen. Google and AWS ASICs are gaining traction. I don't want to be a frog sitting in water with the heat being turned up, and I don't jump out while I can.

Will take some time, so AMD's late 2026 MI455X story may still be a winner.
