Perry sounds just like most of the lefties on this thread.

He simply has no logical answers for Hitchens' counter argument that it's not a disease.

The real issue should be "Who is the most dangerous group of cartels? The AMA/Big Pharma mafia or the "illegal" dealers. When I see the Sacklers sent to prison for life then I will believe there is a real "war on drugs".

It's a weighty topic for sure. Most people have some experience with alcoholics and/or drug addicts and have drawn their own conclusions about whether it's a real sickness or a choice. It can be both, of course.

Going back to the fentanyl discussion, fentanyl is being deceptively compounded by dealers into prescription pills and recreational street drugs. One doesn't have to be an addict or actually choose to take a lethal dose of it.
