In a different life, I have been to Singapore amost more times than I could count--in transit and for brief stays. In the late 1970's and early 1980's there was a sign at the airport as you left the international customs area on the way in that simply read:

"Bring drugs into Singapore and you are dead".

My last time there in 2023 was not for work but my wife and I had been on tour in Japan and ended up in Singapore for a few days to visit old friends one last time. The sign was not there?
