LOL, that's what they all say, until it happens.

Which is why the USCG requires a magnetic compass to be aboard any mechanically propelled vessel.

Looks like Canada only requires them for boats 9 meters or longer.

As if people on a 6, 7 or 8 meter boat wouldn't be just as screwed as people on a 9 meter boat.
