WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT ? ?

Tastes Like Chicken has a very strong interest in faster-than-light drive technology. Unfortunately, TLC has no physics background, and cannot come up with a workable idea with math. TLC does, however, know that the math exists, but it has not been "discovered" yet. He has several ideas, but is reluctant to discuss them unless there is someone who is interested, hopefully someone with a strong background in quantum mechanics or other "traditional" physics areas.

TLC also has a sense of humor, and will post sci-fi junk on the thread for entertainment purposes. TLC likes science fiction, especially technology oriented science fiction, not so much the goofy stuff that makes no sense in the real world. TLC finds the "UFO" people to be extremely amusing, but does not dismiss the entire theory. He has seen the pictures and the movies and the videos and can see that almost all of them are crap. He wishes there were less people with flake tendancies or goals to have their pictures published for having sex with a snake-man from outer space;

and more people with what appear to be good ideas;

TLC is interested in whether or not people who have legitimate ideas for FTL systems are here at SI. If so, TLC says this thread could be a safe place to discuss these ideas, unless the loonies invade.

If you have an idea for a FTL drive or related technology, TLC would be interested in hearing about it. Please refer to the prior FTL posts for some background data.
