Mike, Well, welll..I have to suspend my prior quick judgement..This is the info I couldn't find because I was looking in the wrong places...Will have to do some more study and research. Very much will affect any of the WDM folks, including APAT. Looks like we will be discussing this for a while.. And NOW I understand the decline in CIEN.. they are no longer the only horse in a very critical race.. More...to come.. And Thanks again, Mike

Mike, thought we would generate more comments on CIEN and the APAT impacts... But...thinking back, we, Craig in particular, had already been discussing the next level of WDM technology (beyond the typically used 16 channel), so it is likely that CIEN is not locked in to current technology either. In which case the impact on CIEN of Corning's announcement is somewhat less than a first glance would indicate. Would you suspect, further, that any of this technology that GLW is willing to sell to LU, they would be willing to sell to CIEN also? And if CIEN does not buy, that tells me a lot...like they don't need it because they are already ahead of that game..
We need a few more facts to come out from CIEN... I suspect CIEN is a buy here...and the folks that are predicting 25 before 50 will lose their bet.. Just MHO, Mike..
