Because they are resistant to cheating. Say someone stole my ballot, they have to steal my ballot because there is a bar code on the ballot that is unique to each registered voter.

So that rules out printing fake ballots.

Now how would the ballot thief have any idea what my signature looks like?

You could give me your full legal name and I wouldn't come close to replicating your signature a hundred tries. The thief only gets one try.

Now try to imagine this being done at any type of scale, that would have any effect on any election. It's not possible.

How are you going to restore people confidence? Any type of voting method I can construct a theory on how it's being cheated.
