According to a poster on Yahoo!, there was a huge telephone outage today on the east coast.

The problem began with a cut fiber and was magnified by a DSC switch overloading.

The outage did happened (according to WSJ), but the blame is only the poster's opinion. Has anybody heard anything about this?

Jody

to all,
up on heavy volume with no news, as i said before the big boys are noww looking at this as a value play. we have been here before and need to move above 21 to convince me this is just another bounce. i have been as frustrated and tempted to sell but have always believed a good company will reward investors who are patient. lucent still surprises me with its' strength and still feel it will consolidate in the short term. tommorrow will be the key to future direction, if dsc holds here with a continued gain or minor selling we have a trend up, if it sells off baqck to 19-19 1/2 range we are in trouble. investors will be looking for substantial news to move this baby significantly higher. lets hope dsc becomes a momentum stock like bby, oh to dream. good luck to all.

Moe, DSC seems to move more based on ratings from the Brown Bros. Do you know what their current rating is?
