Hmmm, so COHR purchases semiconductors in order to build a ..... photonics module?

I gotta say I don't really know what COHR makes. Something involving transferring data signals using light. Beyond that, I don't know what is in their product.

I guess there needs to be something which receives the digital signal from a semiconductor, and changes it into light before sending it on to whatever receives the light.

Hmmm, OK!

Who makes the piece of the module that changes digital signals into light, and then back the other way? Is that chips (seems like an important chip!) made by COHR, or purchased by COHR and assembled into a COHR-made module? Any idea?
