I agree. I believe companies can now start to expense (write off immediately) equipment right away rather than over the life of the equipment. That is meant to help them build factories here faster since they can use the saved tax money to buy more... and the government will get the taxes later.

All I saw was a sequential decline in earnings (but still up Y/Y) which looks due to surging operating expenses (where they expense stuff) so I think that is it. I bet that happened with Google too but I have not had time to test the idea by digging deeper.

I'm already giving up my a nice hike this afternoon in shorts weather (77F now in my back yard near a patio but "only 67" in the Northern shade...)

We're long overdue for a massive correction, but it might have happened after hours and could be about done. Nothing really surprises me with these stocks these days.

Maybe I'll sneak out for a quickie hike...
