But it may be an impossible task - the PO may have too many encumberances (sic).

A major encumbrance is six day a week residential delivery.

A change to 3 times a week would save a lot of money.

In the older parts of the country, there are way too many post offices. I live in a suburb with a population around 25,000. We have 3 post offices. They are close enough together that even at 71, I can ride my bicycle past all 3 and back home in about an hour. I also own a vacation home in a town with similar population and 4 post offices.
