The first Pres I was old enough to cast a ballot for was RR, which was a no-brainer for me, though I know my parents voted for Nixon. But the Nixon/Watergate break-in coverup does draw eery similarities to the Clinton/alleged perjury/obstruction investigation:

Both Nixon and Clinton went on national TV to declare their innocence in a direct appeal to the people. We all know how Nixon's legacy was written when it became apparent that he was trying to coverup his administration's role in the Watergate break-in.

Why Clinton would throw away whatever good things he has done all over something so silly as to allegedly participate in a cover-up to a court over an affair is amazing to me.
