Super-Express for Datek provides a static window where a trader can "pre-load" up to 5 orders. Orders can be quickly dispatched to Datek's Express server with a single button push. Only ONE password entry is needed, at the beginning of the session. And because of the framed interface, it's possible to keep the order-entry window on-screen at all times, allowing you to queue-up orders and save time. Super-Express for Datek is designed for maximum speed, and is suitable only for day-traders and other experienced traders desiring the fastest order entry. Datek Securities has my permission to adopt Super-Express for Datek at no cost or obligation, if it so chooses. I am open to suggestions for improvement. Keep in mind that as a third-party HTML interface, there are significant limitations - in particular, I can't change what Datek's server sends. It's even practical, since this page is loaded ONCE at the beginning of the day. But, most likely, I will just leave it as-is. I mean, hey, I've got six hours into this already. (Hmmm, with a couple more days...) Everyone is encouraged to tinker. I've been toying with the idea of writing a fancy-schmancy C++ MFC application to do something similar for some time, but I got to thinking "what can I do with just HTML and JavaScript?". Turns out that's 80% of what I wanted to do, and maybe that's enough... With a bit of cooperation from Datek, this could go 100%. ;)
