Small Fry.. That article makes some of the points I was trying to make with the Wizard since about October. End demand, in my view, is more a driving factor than lost sales in any particular country...and that's now showing up:Quote The biggest question for Applied and other chip equipment makers seems to be when chipmakers will resume capital equipment spending. One money manager notes that they already are increasing in Taiwan. He said Taiwanese chipmakers have been buying the canceled orders from Korean and Japanese customers. "Taiwan is red hot right now. It's going to take the place of Japan and Korea," the money manager said. Unquote.. And, with HUGE investments in plant, they "have to" buy the equipment somehow...they can't leave those plants idle.. So AMAT doesn't suffer much at the trough of this cycle... The article says 5-10%...Highly acceptable...now let's get our AMAT, NVLS, etc positions for the next upcycle.. And SOME DAY watch LSI make big bucks. <g> Thanks for that post, SF... TSO
