ok since I don't have a clue how to put the bill on this board, the following will take you to the approved bill in the Utah legislature.

le.state.ut.us

then at this point the DEQ would have to approve; which is what last Fridays press release was all about, Is that correct? By submitting a draft to Envirotec they are pretty much rubber stamping, correct?

TraderGreg,

You said, "The legislature does not approve every company's request; the DEQ does that. The only bill at issue pertains to increasing penalties for violators".

If what you are saying is correct and I hope it is,then the CSMA press release of 02/18 must be wrong, for it states....

'This event is a major breakthrough for Envirotec,'' remarked Derry Moore, president of Envirotec,''and the culmination of more than a year's effort to meet state requirements for Class V non-hazardous waste disposal.

''We are grateful for the cooperation from state officials who are dedicated to sound environmental practices. We thank them for offering Envirotec a 'blue sky' for Class V operation.''

Envirotec will not seek any significant changes to the permit draft, and the company expects the permit will be submitted soon for approval by the state legislature.

HB 207 re stiffer penalties for pollution appears to be getting tougher as they work on it. See draft:
