From a non tech with limited understanding, UNPH and SDLI both make little laser gizmos - WDMW pumps and lots of other good stuff, and some older "legacy" stuff. But good stuff is very very hot - per rumor - management is the question with both companies. As is usual with me I have a bit of both so I can stay awake enough to watch. All IMO, disclaimers, etc. etc. Chaz

Mike

It is my understanding that UNPH inherited the capability to make Vertical cavity lasers from IBM when they bought the Zurich facility. I have a connection to the CEO so I will try to get an e-mail response from him.

I will report back.

I have been very busy lately so I have not had much time for SI. I am still long QCOM,UNPH and LU but I took my profit in TLAB and am thinking of doing the same thing Monday with LU. I will buy both back at an appropriate time. I cannot believe how well LU has moved up.

Glad to hear you are now the resident technical analyst on QCOM.

regards
