OFF TOPIC >>what someone chooses to call themselves or put in their 'profile' (i.e. email address), should not add any weight<<

I disagree. I don't think you can extrapolate the insincerity of one poster to an entire group. You can weight the info or lack of info in a profile. The question is how much and in which direction. You certainly should not take it at face value.

For example: If you look at Henry's profile you will see that he has a Ph.D and he attended USC and he indicates a place of abode.. He also shows an email address. If you read his posts carefully you will find supporting evidence to that end. You can also find supporting evidence in other locations. If you look at his home page you will see that it is hosted by ATT which is the same host as his email account. This can be considered supporting evidence indicating that his profile may be correct. I for one believe this profile and weight it accordingly.

With this type of information and after reading many of his posts you can weight what he says. For example one might weight his microbiology posts higher than one would weight his stock price predictions. He seems to have a bias towards the upside.

I also weight your posts. I do not assign a plus or a minus weight to your posts based on your profile because you don't have one.(minimal)

I weight your posts based on what I read in your posts and the way you present the information. You have a fascination with short term stock movements which may benefit a daytrader. That does not do me any good as I have a job and can't take advantage of the short term swings. Your longer term price predictions (long term for you seems to be more than a day) are no better than average. You actually make so many predictions that you stand a good chance of some of them coming true.

For short to medium term price predictions I weight Herbert Otto the highest. Herbert gives me time to ponder his observations and he provides some insight as to why he believes the stock will move in a certain direction.

I have actually detected a negative bias in your posts. You seem to be reactionary. Most of the time you merely react to Henry. If he says up, you say down. If he says black you say white. Sometimes you appear to be trying to mimic his style. I don't know why you do this but it reduces the weighting of your posts. It also leads me to believe that you are of a young age. I weight posters higher who demonstrate original thinking rather reactionary posters. You seem to be carrying some baggage that you don't seem to be able to shed. At least that is the way it appears to me and I have been wrong before.

For word games your posts get a high weighting. You like to dance around always avoiding questions. You might make a good member of a debating team or you might make a "good" politician. If you ever watch a news conference you will note that the politicians rarely answer questions. They just use the questions as a tool for expounding on issues that they want to talk about.

May there be fair weather at Lake Ligand

>>Some of our 'threadsters' find it suspect when a profile is 'empty'<<

Only when the poster is empty as well.
