Paul,
I am still Trading DELL on the short side."

You must be a glutton for punishment. I hope you at least are using TA to help yourself but even then...shorting against the trend is suicidal...and gives historians like Engel cannon fodder to taunt you.

Jim,
Your statement that if Intel has troubles then DELL might too has little merit. Let's say, Intel cuts prices...to combat competition...who is first in line for cheaper chips? Ans. DELL.
If the whole industry slows down...everything is going down so you can pick your short...but that's not what I think you are suggesting...

Jim - Re: "if INTC has the problems we are talking about here, then DELL may see difficulties in the long run."

You mean if Intel has the problems you are imagining.

Didn't you "imagine" some problems with Intel's sales last quarter?

I recall you posted something about the Pentium II not selling at all.

Care to remind us about that clairvoyant observation?

You seem to think Intel and Dell got to be successful out of pure luck and that their luck is about to end.

Being short Dell sure sounds like bad luck for you. DId you suffer the complete $77/share loss after shorting Dell?

Can I assume you are also short Intel?

Paul
