I agree with everything you say. However, having multiple windows open can eat up system resources on under-equipped machines and degrade performance. It is not unusual to see a lack of memory, for instance, mistaken for a bandwidth problem. (On the other hand there are rare situations that, through the benefit of a cache, one machine with multiple windows open will seem to out-perform two machines that seek the same information).
