OFF TOPIC Christine, I had a strict Victorian grandmother whose moral rules became imbedded somehow in my conscience, and even though I have done some things that are wrong, I am very clear when I do that, and am always trying to get better as I get older. Don't give your grandmother or her Victorian ways all the credit. I think there is evidence that some of what we call conscience or guilt may have a genetic component. I agree that upbringing is certainly a big part of it however. Perhaps more important than your Grandmother's strictness is her love for you. We don't want to hurt or even disappoint those who love us. Love is easier to give when you have received some. Just some feelings. Jack
