I never did here your thoughts on that GAO report for the House Banking Committe I intercepted off the Newsgroups. But I do know you are a guy who likes a good survey.....I remember you chewing me out for presenting one quite a while back which was vague.

But if you did give that report a look it said 7% of banks in the US were online now, with 47% expected to be online line by the end or 1998 or in the process of going online.

Now here is another interesting piece of news....

my.excite.com:80/news/bw/980225/sri-consulting

"The actual use of home-based financial services remains at fairly low levels; roughly 7% of U.S. households have ever used online home banking services"

The only thing I wish to point out is the '7's'. I just wonder if it would be fair to ASS-U-ME that the internet population is is pretty random at best as to who's current bank in online? Say 7% of us?

In any case if only 7% of the banks are online, and 7% of us are using online banking now, that ain't such a bad number...IMHO.

Just food for thought on a very slow day.

>>>Tom: If CKFR makes that sale they should give you a commission.

Why don't you send that GAO report to somebody and let's all find out what's up together. Hea Scoop?

After all how many industries are projected to grow 500% this year? You might even get a commission?
