Most call it what it is - politics. Political maneuvering and spin-meistering. When in the course of political events supposedly (nominally, purportedly, presumptively) apolitical officials become politically noisome, then get clobbered (can you spell Ken Starr?) they usually scream bloody murder.

Starr just took the scream one step further, allowing the Clintonistas to pillory (rhymes with "Hillary) him further. I think that Starr might even be a closet Democrat; he's allowed himself to be played like a rank amateur and has made so many mistakes that his credibility will forever be compromised.

Sid Blumenthal hit the jackpot, BTW, getting himself subpoenaed and making Starr look like an idiot for doing so.
