Bruce and all; my two cents on the lawsuit: I have been sued several times over the years. I have never admitted any guilt ( there was none, GG ). I never settled out of court; I never paid a penny; ALL repeat, ALL the lawsuits were dismissed!!! < GG >. I was willing however to stand up to legal sharks and call their bluff. I don't know if Vivus will do that, I hope so. All their announcements had boilerplate disclaimers. They just printed up the results of the NEJM. Maybe the legal sharks should sue Harvard Medical School ( were the NEJM editors reside ). It is very possible that by the time this lawsuit reaches the court Vivus will be $ %0 in which case I suppose the lawsuit would be moot. Wouldn't it? TA
