Sounds good Janice! Until you realize that some of the tapes were made by the FBI! As far as I know, only the last one, made in the course of the sting operation at the Pentagon Mall. I really don't know whether Tripp was also encouraged by Starr to tape calls made from her office. The Pentagon is in Virginia, where wiretapping laws are less stringent than in Maryland. Note, however, that the tapes WE know about--through Newsweek, for the most part--were all Tripp's amateur efforts.
