This late day sell off sure sucked. Are there any reasons or is it just profit taking because of the weekend. Also, volume was a little on the light side once again, any specific reasons for this that I have yet to hear about? RunnninReb

'But that is not an accurate test of MA validity as an accurate indicator because only a computer would trade based on every single crossover -- using no further analysis/judgement -- thereby including all the false signals (which are usually far more numerous than the true breakouts). That's it then. It is all just a matter of knowing what are the false signals and what are not. You have done very well with your system. Maybe it is your system or maybe you are a lucky coin flipper. If you take a thousand coin flippers each trying for heads, on the first flip 500 get heads and 500 lose. The next flip leaves 250. Finally on the 10th flip there is one person left. Ten heads in a row! What a skillfull coin flipper. The coin flipper is also likely convinced of his abilities. A real test would be to take your system, code it and back test it on historical data on thousand of stocks over many years, taking the usual care to prevent data mining. What would be the outcome? I won't give you my opinion since I sense from your last post that you are tiring of our debate.
