Thank's Elmo - Excellent site and timely information! I am totally disgusted with the prior management and the current BOD. It is interesting to see the list of Plaintiffs. I know we suspected Marangie, Young and Tolonen but Elaine Bond...she never even attended the 1997 annual meeting.

I talked with Tolonen after the meeting last year but failed to ask him about their internal accounting controls for sales into the channel.

It appears to me that CEO Schmidt was hired to be the "Chief Technology officer", not the CEO. But I think the BOD got more than they bargained for. Maybe if CEO Schmidt is allowed to replace some of those board seats in the next BOD election, he will be in a better position to implement "his" own turnaround.

Good luck with your holdings. I still think with the right management and marketing plan Novell could be a great company. It's just that with these latest events, I believe many more upper management changes still need to be made. As we know, these things take time.

EKS

Wow! That's one heck of a complaint notice. Its detail very well could explain the time lapse involved in publicizing his intent to file suit. That Pirraglia (and/or his legal team) is impressively thorough.

Hey Joe, did this guy participate in your movement last year? If not, he'd have a heck of a time justifying his complacency.

Interesting chart. However it seems to be missing a few labels. Perhaps it needs to include "Takeover rumor announced by CNBC" and "Novell responds that company is not for sale." Didn't that account for many of the rises and dips in the stock over the last few years? Just an observation by a techie-lurker.
