Paul, Visiting family in NYC and surprised at today's drop in Intel.
Did I miss something. Was this a reaction to the announcement
of the Dupont Photomask/UofT advance with UV at .08 microns?
I would think Intel this is an advantage for Intel and not a
danger since that research was supported by SEMATECH and probably
conducted in their facilities. I believe Intel is a prime partner
of SEMATECH, (Robert Noyce was first CEO) and we should have some
rights to this tech. Do you have any different opinion?

Another point, helping relatives in their 70's use their first
computer and get on the internet. What a trip. There is a real
revolution in connectivity being brought to seniors with this
technology. Can't wait to see them catch the bug.

Dell: I have been researching a new PC and have done the online
outfits, the local screwdriver shops and distributors, and the
major chain stores. Can't find a one that can beat the prices
and quality of the Dell offerings online, even if I went around
and picked off the cheapest price on each component from the
local vendors. Another plus of internet and Dell is no sales
tax. No wonder they are doing so well. That Jim Patterson is
a complete idiot shorting Dell and trying to talk the stock down
on this thread.

Good night, David S.
Long on Intel and Iomega

Paul and thread,

Re. AMD/IBM deal

Forgive me for not having read all the posts on this subject.

My question: has it been clearly specified that this deal would involve the 0.25 micron process?

TIA,
Ibexx
