Duncan, Janice was taking advantage of my youth :) -- I was very young during Watergate, and so know little of it. I don't feel a compulsion to study up on Watergate minutia either. To me, a tape made without the recorded person's knowledge is much more reliable and authentic than one made during which the person being recorded knows they are being recorded. This seems elementary to me--it is during the times when you think your words will be impossible to be used against you that a person is most apt to tell the real, candid truth -- Janice, are you out there? Does this not seem elementary? DK
