Mr. Murphy. Thanks for stepping aside on Friday and letting us old timers pick up some of those soft shares at great prices.

Joe, So we have newsletters, shareholders, management and offers for the company that are all indicating that our stock is undervalued and three of these are willing to back this up with $$. I think that Juli has the right attitude, to just treat this as the buying opportunity that it is. Even the lowest number given by the Konlin letter is several multiples of where we are now, so the company buying back shares makes perfect sense to me at this time. I assume that the "peanut flippers" only have so many shares left in their bags, so this buying opportunity is a "limited time offer". (G)

Thanks, Joe for taking the time to answer my question and the others as well. It's also reassuring to know that management of DCI has the same goal with respect to stock valuation as it's shareholders..doesn't work that way with all stocks.

James

Dear Mr. Murphy,

I have a few questions.

1) It was great to read about the signing of additional contracts for Cyberfax. Per contract (average value) are they similar in size to the average value of the previously signed contracts? When an additional contract is added, are there a lot of fixed costs for DCTC or was the set-up of the gateway in NY the major fixed cost? I know it takes longer to do something the first time, but now that DCTC has some installation experience with Cyberfax, how long does it take to get a new customer up and running (DCTC billing minutes)? I know some/all of the answers may not be for public disclosure, but any info would be appreciated.

2) In regard to the WorldPass deal, the press release stated that they are growing rapidly. Can you tell me what their most recent, 1996 to 1997, year over year sales and earnings growth rates are (I would have loved to get a peek at WPCs balance sheets and income statements for the past couple of years)? If you can't answer that question due to the on-going nature of the deal, could you tell me if they are greater than 20%? The press release seems to imply a much higher growth rate. I'm just trying to get a minimum for my own calculations.

3) I know you've stated here and in the most recent 10Q about additional switches being ordered and sent to Europe. Once DCTC orders a switch, what is the lead time for delivery? Also, once it is at location, how long is installation? Overall, I would suspect the entire process to take at least 3-4 months.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

JJ

Dear Mr. Murphy,
Just a couple of questions that I can't get the answers to:

1)Is the Grant Thornton audit complete or will they need more time?
Whenever I have contacted their main U.S. offices in Boston, they
tell me to address this question to you.

2)When the SMTK shares become unrestricted in March, will we begin to
liquidate our position? Also, when sold, will we have to pay tax on
these shares at corporate tax rate of 34% or capital gains rate of
20%? What rate of tax on the $4,000,000 of appreciation can we
expect?

3)Have you noticed positive changes in European operations since the
Jan.98 start of deregulation?

As always, THANKS in advance for your replies and keep on fighting for
our company. Soon we'll get the respect we deserve, along with some
sweet revenge from the short termers. Go get 'em Joe!
