Another DRAM dumping complaint?
By Jack Robertson

WASHINGTON -- The Department of Commerce here on Monday is expected to release its preliminary finding on whether Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. Ltd. and LG Semicon Co. Ltd. dumped DRAMs in the 12-month period, ending April 30, 1997.

However, what's really perking the chip industry interest this week is a report that another DRAM dumping complaint from Micron Technology Inc. is imminent and it is expected to be filed against memory suppliers in Japan, Taiwan and South Korean. All three Korean DRAM suppliers will be included in the complaint expected from Micron.

In Boise, Idaho, officials at Micron this week held fast to its previous comments that the firm "continues to study the matter."
