Just one more point Christine, one of my good friends is a leading authority on Schizophrenia. First of all he tells me Schizophrenia has nothing to do with a split personality, it has more to do with a disintegrating personality that becomes detached from reality. More importantly, he tells me Schizophrenia is a biological illness with a genetic cause. Those that get it are mostly doomed to a horrific life on the margins of society. There is a good chance that everyone on this thread has a family member, relative or friend that suffers from Schizophrenia. The stigma of mental illness is still so great that otherwise caring and compassionate people are unwilling to face up to this horrible illness. Until society as a whole takes responsibility for dealing humanely with the mentally ill, they will be forced to live out their nightmarish lives with no hope of salvation in this life. Surething
