I just discovered this thread. I find it interesting that there have only been 83 posts on the MCD thread since mid-1997.

I guess MCD is just too boring to attract much attention on SI. Well, I for one am glad that I purchased this "boring" growth stock in 1991.

I guess I'm just a boring kind of guy.

I tried to buy the book on "Cola wars" heralding the "imminent demise" of Coke, from amazon.com They say it is "Hard to Find" and will try to get me a used copy in the next 3 months! :-) :-) I wanted to read it just for fun!

For MCD followers, there are two books worth reading -- "McDonald's : Behind the Arches", and another recent book titled, "Golden Arches East : McDonald's in East Asia".
