Eddy...While you are joining T12 in the laughter, perhaps we could get the IBMers in the Advanced Lithography Lab to get on board with what "everyody" else knew about the "normal extension" of optical lithography down to .08 Micron..(possibly beyond)... As of the week of the UT announcement, IBM's Lab folks apparently were still proceeding on the assumption that their approach would be used at/beyond .13 Micron... Here is the full report by one of the guys who toured IBM's Advanced Lithography Lab:

Personally, I was most impressed with the achievement...yeah, I know. TSO can be easilly impressed <g>.. And we will have achieved something is we can convince T12 to be just a bit more magnanimous and give that UT/Sematech Team a little credit (even praise, perhaps?) ...TSO

Eddy ....laughing to bank... Upon further consideration, I have to join you. The most important thing about DPMI, to me, was that I bought 32 1/4, at 26, 32, and 39, and actually have a profit.. If I am making that profit under false pretenses, I'm "laughing all the way to the bank". TSO..
BTW...thanks for gettting me over to the CYMI thread, where I could meet the kind folks who supplied me with some factual info about the contention between various lithography methodologies...and could put the UT/Sematech .08 micron achievement into perspective.. TSO

My friend said the web site is www.spie.org. Specifically you are interested in the Microlithography Symposium held in Santa Clara, Ca this past week. You can order the papers in the proceedings (450 papers in 4(?) vols for $100's). They are located in Bellingham Wa.
Enjoy some of the driest reading around!

Eddy, we got that little near-term pullback to 43 1/2, as anticipated...before the rebound. Do you see any large overhang of stock waiting to be dumped here, now that we have a good market rally and some good news on DPMI?.. A couple of the guys think we could see as low as 40/41, but I am skeptical of that degree of weakness... Guess I'll have to call E!-Graphs or TA-Anon over for a look on Monday.. Meanwhile..any thoughts? TSO
