Kirk, re: Overall, it was one of the best shows I've listened to.

Same for me. I found his discussion of "retire and not tell anybody" fascinating too. I always enjoy hearing Bob touch upon quality of life issues.

>Bob suggested the concept of "retire and not tell anyone".<

I haven't read "Die Broke" but have, over the years, met many middle management corporate types who seemed to have perfected the "retire and not tell anyone" technique. They hide out in meetings, generate a lot of paperwork, smoke and turmoil and generally convey the impression that important work is being done, though no one is quite sure what that work is. A lot of these guys or gals were among the first to hit the street when reorganizations and downsizing became the vogue, but the really clever ones usually manage to survive.

MrCash,

I think it was "one of the best shows you've listened to" because it addressed more than just money. There's nothing wrong with paying heed to your investments or listening to shows like BB but after a while it can get like eating too many jelly donuts, you get sick of them. It was nice hearing BB wax eloquent about the important things in life, time and health. In my own case, I'd add my children. Now back to MONEY.
