Wayne,

I agree with most all of your comments. Maybe I'll be hard-pressed under these circumstances to find anyone to agree with me on this, but I still am a fan of Mr. Smith. Personally, after meeting him, I found him to be a genuinely likeable chap, a gentle man. He came up out of government, not free enterprise. I think that might have been his problem (IMHO). For this weakness, we should be pilloried now? He held things together for 10 years and gave the staff a chance, a launching pad, to finally come to market with something of real value.

We supported the staff all these years, even through the last two weeks of continuing "silence" which was (now we know) wholly unnecessary (and perhaps, worse). We supported the staffand Board, in all the ways available to a public company. Even through the silent period which came with an enormous cost.

The mandate for silence ended two weeks ago. But we were put on notice only, literally a matter of hours ago, as to where things were headed. Not through the official company channels, but from those willing to speak up thru the haze.

The wonder of the internet is the speed to which information is disseminated. I trust that all things posted by others above and herein has been channeled thru to management.

I for one, fully expect that no one voting tomorrow morning or whenever the critical sustaining decision(s) are made regarding our public company, will do so without knowledge of what has been said here. The internet is a fair and open forum, open to all from any side. No one with IMS decision-making authority should be expected to be wholly ignorant of what has been publicly stated here (and thru secondary channels) as they take their seats on behalf of shareholders next week. We will be waiting to see if truth, fiduciary trust and fairness comes out of those decisions.

DD

No problem - you've heard the last from me. I was attempting to
give you some technical information that would possibly allow
you to evaluate the business case, but, hey, I don't like being
up at midnight to answer your questions.

Frank

Hey Folks,

Being a former co-engineer with Frank at both IMS and IBM, Frank's interest and dialogue can only be of a technical nature w.r.t. this chat room. Please remember that he is an "insider" whose role and responsibility cover technical matters of the company. It is inappropriate for him to discuss corporate/business issues beyond what is publicly stated by IMS management. That is the responsibility of Lee Hoevel.

Please direct your anger/energy towards the appropriate people. Lee can be reached at 512-795-8825 or for registered mail:
7718 Woodhollow Drive, Suite 150
Austin, Texas 78731

Please remember that Frank's discussion on this chat room has always been towards your technical questions.

Larry
