It's just that I do not personally know of any ultra-liberal newspapers, although I'm sure such do exist.

You could try Il Manifesto. Though at bottom it's basically a communist organ, and so not liberal in any real sense of the word.

<< I guess we could go round and round on the special prosecutor issue and never totally agree with one another. <vbg> Again, I don't like the process or elevating a person to that degree of authority and that degree of power over so many people. That alarms me far more than anything any one politician--even the President--does or could do within the framework of our Constitutionally mandated system of checks and balances. >>

Ah, now this is a criticism with substance (not taht some of your others were not), far different than jumping on this particular SP.
Will do some elaboration later.

Holly,

Re: ultra-liberal vs ultra-conservative newspapers. Anyone wanting to read an ultra-libertarian newspaper should check out The Orange County Register. When I lived in SoCal, I found it a welcome counterpoint to the LA Times.

Perhaps you could take up reading the Berserkeley(sic) Barb (Is that one still around ?) it would probably round out your reading material nicely, as in plus ultra liberal.
