Surething, The Rush Limbaugh radio show is the most popular radio show in the world. His weekly audience is estimated at 20 million people worldwide. It didn't get that popular by being just a joke show. People listen to it for a variety of reasons. Most because it's one of the rare places in the media where you can get a different perspective from the parrots on television news.

Is there something specific you think is weird about his viewpoints you would like to share?

Yes, it is. But then all talk radio is weird. Talk TV, too.

Even the supposedly informed Talking Heads. I remember dissolving with laughter once about five years ago when one--part of a group discussion about Joycelyn Elders's nomination as Surgeon General--solemnly announced that she came from "a family of poor shareholders".
