Ah, but would the Others agree to play fair? I doubt it. I very much doubt it.

In fact, I think we should ask Jill to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate their nefarious activities...

Seriously, guys: this is an INSPIRED idea, no? I bet you'd ALL welcome our Very Own Ken Starr. Right?

Paul, Janice, and All,

I think policy to govern this very serious matter of prime post possession is long overdue. Perhaps some independent volunteer counsel will step forward and draft appropriate legislation for us to review and discuss and amend and for redraft until the cows come home.

Personally, I would rail against the posting of empty posts. I would be luke warm, however, on limiting the number of browser copies allowed, as this practice, although nefarious and deceitful on the surface, can also be self-defeating. I would draw the line at permitting multiple simultaneous modem connections to the Boink thread. Editing posts after the fact should be discouraged and reviewed for possible infractions on a case-by-case basis. I think posting from the blazingly fast Lynx and other Unix or DOS browsers should be permitted.

Let us all think some more upon rules to propose, as well as penalties should these rules be broken or otherwise encroached upon.
