Hi Enigma,
He supported it when he was in his first term and old Pat Carney was running between Washington and Ottawa like a homing pigeon. This is not to say that I ever had any respect for Turner, either. Actually I can honestly say that there isn't a politician out there that I can sincerely say that I have any faith in. When Reform first came on the scene, I thought they had a different philosophy and I voted for them. Since, they have just proven to be more of the same old, same old. This country doesn't have a party with the innards to make the hard decisions. Sad commentary on our times. They're all the same... Make the promises, and once voted in, develop amnesia, and then buy the votes with the taxpayers money when election time rolls around again. The only thing worse would be the NDP in power. With them, you could pack up the country and turn out the lights as the last one left. I can honestly say that the next election I'll probably vote the best of a bad bunch...."Nuff said!,

We cover all sorts of subjects on this thread at different times, but our main interest, of course, is trying to extract information on PFG and also trying to decipher the bafflegab that we too often get.

I see you were a fellow Hemlo investor and I'll have to get back to you on that one. A rare and unusual play, if ever there was one.

You'll have to forget the rules of the British Officers Mess now, enigma, because there is probably a lot of women in there and Lord knows what they talk about. What ever happened to the male bastions? I, although a woman, feel they should have the right to their own clubs, as well as the women have theirs. I don't feel that women have to push their face in everywhere. I think they took women's lib too far. Up with the male only clubs, and down with shrieking women. There! that should upset a few women I know.:-) Guess I should go join REAL women. In case you never heard of them, they are an organization that was started to battle against some who took the Women's movement to ridiculous ends, and who felt they must break down every last vestige of male preserves. There is a happy medium in all this nonsense and hopefully it is leveling out. I'm all for women's clubs, men's clubs and mixed clubs.

Cheers

Shirley

Off Topic For Enigma

Two ways to divert from normal protocol. First simply lead with off topic so people don't have to read the material. Second - sometimes it gets boring on the weekends and we digress. I hope you enjoy your visits. Bob
