Hi Billy Boy, Yes, you're right! Black Skull Cap it is, although sometimes I think it would be even better to see that type languish and rot in prison for their natural lives. My diatribe on politicians in general can be seen on enigma's post and Ron's and I could go on and on like the Everready Bunny, but I digress, knowing that you are a card carrying hater of the NDP, as well as myself, and probably 90% of the population in B.C. I'll stick to them. Our economy is the only province in Canada that is still running up the deficit at an amazing pace. We are also losing businesses here to Alberta at a clip that is just about as fast. The government watchdog said last week that the NDP is not forthcoming to the people of B.C. on the total amount of the deficit for the year and that it is twice the amount that the NDP is admitting to. Now the government watchdog is an independent guy who has no axe to grind, so you can bet your booty that it will floor the poor sods in B.C. when the NDP are run out of office in the next election and we find out the real story. He has already increased charges on everything he can possibly think of, as an alternative to raising taxes anymore, lest blood run in the streets. What happens when you corner a snarling rat? He goes for your throat, naturally! The only thing I could never understand is why any one in their right mind would vote for them in the first place. It was another case of vote-splitting as well. They were not the party of choice if you took all the votes into account.Usually their vote comes from the Unions and Welfare Recipients who want the gravy train to continue and the poor saps who really work for a living get to pay all the bills. I would dearly love to see them disintegrate as the Social Credit Party did. We should be finished with them once and for all. The people are leaving in droves to go to Alberta and so are the businesses as well. Alberta doesn't have our beauty, with the exception of Jasper and Banff( I can hear the howls of protest now, Nathan,)but they have jobs and know how to treat business. Their provincial tax rate is 43% and ours is 51% just down from 53%. Wow! They have no provincial sales tax and ours is 7%. They have a welcoming climate and ours is colder than the ice storm you guys had. Finning Tractor just pulled out and the CEO said they were welcomed in Alberta and were actually asked how the province could help them. As a contrast,he said that in B.C. every permit they tried to get to build a plant, which would have meant 200 jobs in B.C., was answered by a suspicious government bureaucracy that wondered what they were up to, and what they were trying to pull. Warsteiner, the big German brewery was going to build a plant here, but he showed the red tape he had to go through, and the lack of any cooperation by the government and the high taxes here, and they are probably going to Alberta as well. They already had the excavation ready. Great times for B.C. By the way, I was jury foreman on one of the trials. Quite an interesting process, all in all. Hang 'em all, I say!(politicians) :-) Cheers, Bill, and how's the miaow's? Shirley
